Kindergarten just began our phonics unit on vowels. We are working on making each word we write has a vowel in it. Students worked with partners to help Mabel (our phonics mascot) add vowels to her story.

Making a Neighborhood
We've been learning about places, things, and people in a neighborhood. This week, students had to come up with a list of things a neighborhood needs and then create one of their own. Students worked so hard over several days creating their neighborhood maps.

Chair Yoga with Ms. Travers
Ms. Travers visited us again for another chair yoga session. Her theme this month is "Self Talk". Students enjoyed participating in a breathing exercise, yoga session, and guided meditation.
