Comparing Length

 This week KP discussed what length is and compared objects. We also used nonstandard units of measurement like paperclips and cubes to measure things. 

Writing Workshop

KP students are becoming very independent writers! Everyone sets up their writing area and gets to work right away. We are working on drawing a detailed picture, adding labels & color, and even trying to write a sentence! This week we wrote about places we like to go to. Ask your child what they wrote about!

Recycling Puppet Show

Mrs. Herzog invited the St. Louis County Department of Waste Management to teach students about recycling. They put on an amazing puppet show introducing students to lots of vocabulary and how they can help.

Math Fun

Playing games is a great way practice counting, number writing, and our overall number sense.

Meeting Jag

 On Monday, KP got to meet Ms. Travers and Jag, the therapy dog. They spend every Monday at OB. We learned about Jag and what his job is in our school. We can't wait for more visits!

Building Community

This week, we read stories about celebrating differences and being brave. We created reminders of these lessons to display in the room.
