A Visit From the Olivette Fire Department

The Olivette Fire Department visited OB kindergarteners during National Fire Prevention Week. Students learned about fire safety and how important it is to have a plan at home if there was a fire. They also were taught about the different tools on both a fire truck and an ambulance and even got to try on some gear!

Oil Pastels & Owls

Students were excited to show off the colorful and creative owls they made during Art Friday with Mrs. Herzog. The colors fit in well the the fall weather and the uniqueness of each one made me smile 🦉

Author Visit



On Tuesday students got to meet author, Bridget Heos. She explained that she writes both fiction and nonfiction books and taught us about the process authors go through to get a book published. We had lots of fun helping add sound effects as she read us her book, Mustache Baby.

Scientists Use Tools

 We explored a variety of tools that scientists use. We discussed what senses these tools use and what a scientist might use them for. 








Making Number Pairs

 This week we worked on making numbers pairs for numbers 8-10. We played "How Many More" with our cubes to practice.

Ordering Numbers

In math, we have been working on ordering numbers and showing amounts in different ways. We've used dot cards, digit cards, and many kinds of objects.









Careers on Wheels
